Very nice indeed. How did you manage to synchronize e.g. the mandolin players’ hands with the music?

Without going into too much detail: we took one day to film ourselves playing the song in real-time, then brought that video down to 12fps. On the day of the final shoot, we projected each frame one by one on a big screen, and projected a live video feed on top of that so we could match ourselves to where we needed to be for the frame.
We also had cues on the screen telling us which beat, chord, and line of the song we were on in each frame, and people standing by to shout out directions to us.
